Despite some solid adjustments and improvements, MyCareer still feels unbelievably grindy. VC is difficult to find unless you ditch a part-time project's worth of hours to the game, or crack open your wallet. Players may now hop into The W, a style that lets them produce their own WNBA celebrity. It is an awesome piece of representation to an often ignored basketball league, though the mode is not nearly as fleshed out as 2K21's other center manners.

The City is a brand-new version in NBA 2K21 on next-gen. Composed of a bunch of smaller parks and regions, The City is practically a massive version of The Neighborhood. There is more courts, which can be fine, but the experts stop there. You still have to purchase a chunk for 25k VC simply to play with friends on a personal court, and the servers are still very shoddy. NBA 2K21 on next-gen sees a great deal of developments into the basketball sim, but ironically only improves the areas of the game which were really excellent.

Looking at our review of the first release of NBA 2K21, most my cons are still present. MyCareer's narrative remains shallow, the internet servers continue to be aggressively fair, and microtransactions continue to be intrusive.
